GOA
Goa is a state on the southwestern coast of India, famed for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, unique history shaped by over 450 years of Portuguese rule, and a distinct blend of Indian and Western influences.
Geographically, Goa is India’s smallest state by area (3,702 km²) and is nestled in the Konkan region, bordered by Maharashtra to the north, Karnataka to the east and south, and the Arabian Sea to the west. Its coastline stretches about 105–160 km, lined with sandy beaches, estuaries, and river inlets. The state’s terrain includes coastal plains, forested plateaus, and the foothills of the Western Ghats, one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots.
