DUBAI
Dubai, the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates, is a global metropolis situated on the southeastern coast of the Persian Gulf. As of 2025, it is home to about 4 million people, with a diverse population where 92% are expatriates. Originally a pearling and fishing settlement founded in the early 18th century, Dubai transformed into a key regional trade hub during the 20th century, fueled by its status as a free port and later diversified beyond oil revenues into tourism, real estate, aviation, and financial services.
